Mexico has three Consulates General located in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, two Career Consulates one Calgary and another in Leamington, as well as five honorary consulates located in the cities of Quebec, St. John’s, Dartmouth, Winnipeg and Saskatchewan.

Mexican citizens who wish to renew their credential to vote from Canada, must comply with the following requirements: present a document proving Mexican nationality, a proof of address and schedule an appointment through Mexitel.

The process to renew the elector’s credential is free and that the interested party may consult the status of his credential through the consultation system of the National Electoral Institute (INE)

After receiving it within four to eight weeks after the date of its processing, the holder must activate it in the respective portal of the INE to be inscribed in the nominal list of voters residing abroad.
