Do more than celebrate Alberta’s heritage this Heritage Day, live it at Heritage Park! Join us for an exciting, interactive, history-filled day that’s sure to delight the entire family.

Stamp your way around the Park with the “Passport to History”. Complete the challenge and enter to win a family pass!

3. Heritage Day Festival


12 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Olympic Plaza. Multicultural Performances, Ethnic Foods and Handicrafts, Indian Village and more!
Enjoy face painting, soak up the sun and watch some folk performances at the Heritage Day Festival in Olympic Plaza.

4. Inglewood Sunfest

Free Summer Festival – August 4, 2018. It’s all about having fun in the sun with this year’s Inglewood Sunfest! More things to see and do, plus we still have all those favorite activities for the whole family. Join us from as the street comes alive with performers, vendors, and fantastic food. Make this the year you start a fun family tradition at the Sunfest!


5. Calgary International Blues Festival

July 31 to August 2 at Shaw Millennium Park and the Kirby Centre. The Calgary International Blues Festival brings big names to two Calgary venues, including guitar player Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Grammy-award winner Bobby Rush and harmonica player Sugar Blue.

6. Calgary Fringe Festival

July 31 to August 8 in Inglewood. Over 25 shows will be presented in Inglewood during the 10th annual Calgary Fringe Festival, nine of which are locally-produced. Download the FestFinder app on iPhone to explore the lineup and access the full Fringe Guide.

7. Stephen Avenue Summer Stage

July 31 and August 1 from noon to 1 p.m. Watch free performances on the Stephen Avenue Summer Stage on 8th Avenue S.E. near the corner of 8th avenue SE and Centre Street. Friday you can see six-piece ensemble HB Wild and Saturday check out local musician Matt Beatty.
