El Tequileño Dinner at Township Bar & Grill

Township Bar & Grill invites Calgarians on Thursday, July 25 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. to join them for delicious El Tequileño Tequila Cocktails paired with Mexican-influenced pass-around appetizers and a four course dinner all for $70.
El Tequileño distillery is located about 60 kilometers from the metropolitan city of Guadalajara in the town of Tequila, Jalisco – the birthplace of the popular liquor. The town of Tequila is known as a magical town and was added to the list of world heritage sites in 2006. Come celebrate and experience the birthplace of tequila and its best kept secret, El Tequileño at Township Bar & Grill.
At 6 p.m. guests will mix and mingle while enjoying appetizers including a Tomato Avocado Salad, Seared Albacore Tuna and Achiote and Lime Pork Loin. These appetizers will be paired with a sparkling Garden Royale, which will be made with Blanco, cucumber juice, elderflower liquor, lime juice, Fernet-Branca and topped with prosecco.
The first seated course will begin with Green Chilli Corn Fritters served with a tomato spicy pepper mojo sauce, watermelon radish and shaved greens. This dish will be paired with Sketches of Jalisco, a blend of Blanco, ginger honey and Chartreuse.
The first course will be followed by a Shrimp and Scallop Agua Chile made with pickled slaw, serrano peppers, compressed cucumber and a sweet potato crisp. This dish will be enjoyed alongside a Don Martinez cocktail made with Reposado Tequila, Cocchi Torino Vermouth di Torino, Maraschino and Rose Liqueur.
The main course will be an Ancho Rubbed Beef Bavette served with chimichurri sauce, smoked paprika frittes, broccolini, avocado roasted garlic crema and cherry tomatoes on the side paired with a Silk Sheets cocktail. The cocktail will be made with Blanco, banana liqueur, pineapple juice & cream, served in a glass rimmed with salted banana sugar, dusted with cinnamon.
For dessert, guests will indulge in a Dulce De Leche Alfajor served with a dark chocolate ganache, raspberry compote and toasted candied coconut while sipping a Café Mexico. Made with Tequila, Kahlua, lychee liquor and lime topped off with a coconut and coffee rim.
