Airdrie’s Canada Day Home Decorating Contest

July 1 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Airdrie’s Canada Day Home Decorating Contest:
Mayor Brown’s Community Celebration

Airdrie Mayor Peter Brown invites you to participate in Airdrie’s Canada Day Home Decorating Contest.

In a year of toilet paper shortages, face masks, porchraits and uncertainty, it’s time to rally as a community and celebrate Canada Day on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. While local and provincial measures due to COVID 19 have led to the cancellation of the traditional parade along Main Street, we aren’t letting it stop us altogether. Instead of going virtual, we decided to keep it personal, and we’re bringing the festivities right to your neighborhood. Together, but safely apart, join Mayor Brown in this year’s Airdrie’s Canada Day Home Decorating Contest by decorating your residence for all to see. Gussy up balconies, doorsteps, driveways or the whole house, whatever can be seen from the road as Judges will parade through the streets of Airdrie, evaluating entrants on their creativity and community spirit. Airdrieonians will also have access to an interactive map to plan their own routes to check out the competition around the city. Grab some snacks and cruise by neighboring homes, while upholding social distancing standards. For more information, please see our website.

The event is Proudly Sponsored by Davis Chevrolet.
